About the position We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills and a solid understanding of financial software, enabling them to maintain accurate financial records and contribute to the overall efficiency of our accounting operations. Responsibilities Process vendor invoices and ensure proper approval before payment. , Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions. , Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial reporting. , Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports. , Utilize financial software such as ADP and Paychex for transaction processing. , Analyze discrepancies in invoices and resolve issues with vendors promptly. , Support corporate accounting functions by maintaining the general ledger. , Collaborate with other departments to address payment inquiries and resolve any discrepancies. Requirements Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role. , Strong knowledge of technical accounting principles and double entry bookkeeping. , Proficiency in financial software applications, including ADP and Paychex. , Familiarity with general ledger accounting practices. , Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for account reconciliation tasks. , Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. , Good communication skills to interact with vendors and internal teams. , A degree in accounting or a related field is preferred but not required.
